Road Closure: Rectory Street between Florence Street and Little Simcoe Street

Beginning on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, Rectory Street will be closed between Florence Street and Little Simcoe Street to allow CN Rail to make necessary repairs to the railway crossing south of Florence Street. The road will be fully closed until approximately the end of day on Friday, December 2, 2022.

During this time, motorists travelling through the area will be detoured around the closure using Florence Street, Egerton Street and Hamilton Road. Access to the BMO Centre will be maintained via south of the tracks while CN Rail completes this work.

Drivers are advised to expect delays when travelling through this area, and to plan ahead by using navigational tools such as Waze and Google Maps.

Temporary sidewalk closures will be in place on Rectory Street and pedestrians are encouraged to use alternative routes to reach their destinations.
