Section of Thames Valley Parkway to close during nearby sewer construction

Starting Monday, August 22, the Thames Valley Parkway between Ann Street and Grosvenor Street will be closed to pedestrians and cyclists. This closure is to allow crews to make improvements to sewer infrastructure located underground near the Thames Valley Parkway’s multi-use paths.

The closure is anticipated to be in place until September 30, 2022.

During this time, a signed detour will direct residents around the closure using Ann Street, Talbot Street, St. James Street, St. George Street, and Grosvenor Street.

Signage has been placed on the Thames Valley Parkway in the area to notify pedestrians and cyclists about the closure.

Update: WEDNESDAY, August 17, 2022

Pedestrians and cyclists will also have the option to detour across the Thames River using Blackfriars Bridge and the bridge in Gibbons Park to travel along Beaufort Street, Gunn Street, and the multi-use path on the west side of the river.

Signage will be placed at these locations ahead of the construction site and at the closure to show the added detour.
